Dijjer is a useful P2P tool to save you bandwidth when offering large files for download. Your files are hosted within your webspace still, you just add http://www.dijjer.org/get/ to the beginning of your links - eg. http://www.dijjer.org/get/http://mysite.com/myfile.mov. The result of this being that the downloader gets most of the file from various Dijjer users, saving you bandwidth. Users do need to have the Dijjer software installed to be able to download and are directed to a download page if it is not detected. The software is available for Windows, Mac and Linux and the creators are keen to emphasise that it spy/adware free as well as being open-source.
