Now this is a great piece of software if you want to get a scaleable site (Care2 uses Gallery 2.0 to host over one million photos) up and running fast. It allows you to maintain a community of users each with albums of media (videos, audio and image) and other downloadable files and has a host of features to cover everything a CMS should. It's nicely laid out and easy to use, features support for streaming your media and loads more not mentioned here - well worth checking out. Dutifully there's also a Drupal module for Gallery 2.0 integration.

Online Video Viewer is a collection of simple PHP scripts based on a MySQL database which allows you to maintain an online video library with passworded user accounts. You can also set expiration dates for these accounts. The whole thing is definately in it's early stages (Alpha to be precise) but looks mighty customisable and I look forward to future versions...or maybe some larger CMS integration.

Plogger is cool, clean and simple "next generation" open source photo gallery web application based on PHP and MySQL. Your images are sorted into albums which are, in turn, sorted into collections. Some nice features are included such as mass-downloads - giving your users the ability to download multiple images/galleries/collections at the same time. Well worth checking out.
